Job Description

Job OverviewThis position is responsible for making sure that engineering and manufacturing processes are performed correctly using the right tools, materials and processes. This includes ensuring that employees are trained to the right quality standard and that all safety requirements are met throughout the production process and facilities. This is a 'hands-on' position that requires solid understanding of manufacturing process, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with production assemblers, soldering specialists, and test technicians.Primary Job Responsibilities Monitor and maintain Raycap quality processes to assure continual 100% customer satisfaction Inspect and test various parts of manufacturing including products, components, processes, and comparing against predefined standardsProvide quality tools, methods, and data to assure ongoing defect-free quality both internally and at the supplier levelAnalyze problems reported and develop improvements to overcome themRMA Analysis and NCR resolution internal and externalStatistical analysis of manufacturing data and creation of reports for senior staff members based on quality documentationMaintain and improve the processes for Quality Management (QMS), Environmental Management (EMS), Telecom Quality Management System (TL9000) and Occupational Health & Safety (OSHA) which includes process auditing, OFI's implementation, Quality Systems Review and documentation writing or editingServe as manufacturing focal point for intelligent analysis of quality issues, determining true root cause and permanent corrective and preventive actionsPartner with Supply Chain Management to develop high level suppliers of COTS or custom materialsInspect incoming components, raw materials, fabricated parts, and in-process assemblies and subassemblies products as requiredQualifications B.S. degree required in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering5 - 10 years' experience in a technical field with significant hands-on quality and manufacturing experienceEffective quality analysis, data analysis, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilityExpert knowledge and application of DFx, FME,A and other quality toolsAbility to effectively collaborate across functions within RaycapEffective project management skills that facilitate planning complex projects and the timely completion of project deliverablesSix-sigma, CQE, CQM, CRE, Lean, or other certifications are desirableProficiency in SAP is desirable.Ability to use MS Office and statistical packages preferredHigh attention to detail and logical problem-solving skillsAbility to read component and assembly drawings Physical DemandsThe employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, keyboards, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hearOccasionally required to walk, sit, and may also be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlMust occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computerWhy Choose Us?Raycap, Inc. has decades of experience creating products that protect and support the world's most valuable assets from power and lightning surges.
